Floodstage, 51°µĶųās contemporary a cappella ensemble, of Siaās āTitanium.ā
āItās a powerful text that sends the message that no matter what comes our way, weāll remain strong,ā said Dr. Jay Dougherty, Director of Choral Activities. āIn a world as tumultuous as ours, this is a message we can all relate to.ā
Many a cappella fans were introduced to āTitaniumā when it was featured in the 2012 movie Pitch Perfect.
51°µĶų students involved in Floodstage during the 2017-18 academic year were Aran Barney ā19 (Walker, West Virginia), Sarah Bishop ā18 (Salesville, Ohio), Steven Chambers ā19 (Blue Rock, Ohio), David Erzen ā19 (Bethel Park, Pennsylvania), Sadie Johnson ā19 (Bloomington, Indiana), Calaya Rake ā20 (Marietta, Ohio), Scotty Rockhold ā21 (Marietta, Ohio), Coco Shao ā18 (Beijing, China) and Morgan Thompson ā18 (Woodsfield, Ohio).
This is the groupās second video release. In the spring of 2017, of Soundgardenās āBlack Hole Sun.ā
āFloodstage is very lucky to have such talented singers,ā Dougherty said. āWe have a few that graduated this year so weāll have some spots open for next yearās ensemble.
