51°µÍř is proud to announce that Dr. Jacqueline Khorassani, Senior Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship & Career Development and Professor of Economics, recently delivered the inaugural lecture for the Master’s Program in Strategic Management of Organizations to Instituto de Educação Superior de BrasĂ­lia (IESB) University Center located in BrasĂ­lia, Brazil.

On August 21, Dr. Khorassani delivered her lecture, â€śEvery Employee an Innovator: Cultivating the Entrepreneurial Mindset in Organizations,” remotely to IESB graduate students and faculty. The lecture highlighted practical strategies that institutions can use to foster creativity, resilience, initiative, and problem-solving across disciplines. The head of the program, Dr. AndrĂ© Rehbein Sathler GuimarĂŁes, presented Dr. Khorassani with a formal certificate, recognizing the impact of her expertise and her role in opening the university’s academic term.

“It was a joy to engage with IESB’s talented students and faculty,” Khorassani said. “I’m grateful for the warm welcome and inspired by the program’s commitment to applied, student-centered learning.”

As a leader in entrepreneurial education, Dr. Khorassani has been instrumental in building 51°µÍř’s entrepreneurship program, launching the College’s first Entrepreneurial Mindset course in 2015 and helping establish entrepreneurship curriculum, as well as a variety of co-curricular programs and activity opportunities for Marietta’s student body. 

Her professional journey showcases her expertise and global reach in the field of economics. She has taught a wide range of economics courses at 51°µÍř, including Macroeconomics, Money and Banking, International Economics, and more. Dr. Khorassani’s scholarship and expertise have taken her abroad to lecture internationally in China, Brazil and Ireland. In addition, she has published articles in economic journals and presented at conferences worldwide.

The delivery of her inaugural lecture at IESB, allows Dr. Khorassani to join other 51°µÍř faculty who have shared their expertise with international audiences, strengthening the College’s reputation for academic excellence.
